Engine Evolution 2021

Engine Evolution 2021 is a free-to-play multiplayer racing game created by solo developer Petr Šimůnek, launched on January 12, 2022. Since launch, the developer maintained a consistent pattern of major releases: the 2022 version on February 21, 2023; Engine Evolution 2023 Early Access on August 7, 2023; Motorbike Evolution on March 28, 2024; Formula Evolution 2024 on June 3, 2024; and Sidecar Evolution 2024 on August 12, 2024. This established a cadence of major releases roughly every 2–6 months through mid-2024. The last developer communication of any kind was the August 12, 2024 post announcing Sidecar Evolution 2024. As of October 1, 2026, that is approximately 13.5 months of silence. The established release cadence between major updates ranged from roughly 2 to 6 months, meaning the silence has now exceeded even the longest observed interval between releases by a significant margin — more than double the widest gap in the historical pattern. The developer has made no announcement that development is complete, but has also made no announcement of anything new. There is no unreleased DLC listed on the store, no roadmap, and no post-August 2024 communication. The silence has now extended well beyond the historical update window with no explanation offered. However, the developer is a solo indie developer who may simply be working on the next installment (following the "versioned year" release model observed previously) without posting updates to this title's Steam page. Given that the silence has now clearly exceeded the established cadence window with no developer communication, the sustained active development pattern can no longer be confidently asserted. At the same time, no explicit completion statement exists. The most accurate assessment is that the development status has become uncertain — the previously observed pattern has broken down without explanation.
