ENYO Arcade

ENYO Arcade is a free-to-play 2D action platformer that launched on November 9, 2015. The developer, James Mearman, has delivered a series of updates over the years — new weapons, a lighting system, a camera rework, and audio/visual improvements — culminating in a significant engine migration to GameMaker Studio 2 in October 2021 (v1.55) and a follow-up polish update in November 2021 (v1.56). The November 2021 update also hinted at a "little HAPPY announcement," which was subsequently revealed to be the December 2023 launch of the developer's next game, Temple of Rust — that announcement referred to the other game, not new ENYO content. Since the November 2021 update (v1.56), there have been no further patches, feature updates, or content announcements for ENYO Arcade. The December 2023 news post was simply a cross-promotion for Temple of Rust and contained no indication of ongoing ENYO development. The store description mentions that "content may change with future updates," but this is longstanding boilerplate language and is not backed by any recent developer communication. The two DLC items are voluntary donation tiers (not content expansions) and were both released in November 2018. The developer's attention has clearly shifted to Temple of Rust, which reached full release in December 2023. With no developer communications about ENYO since November 2021, no announced or unreleased content, and the solo developer's focus now on a different shipped title, ENYO Arcade appears to have reached the end of its update cycle. The last substantive content update on November 2, 2021 is the most reasonable completion date.
