Eternity Egg entered Early Access on December 11, 2025, with the solo developer (USERLANDS) clearly framing it as an unfinished work-in-progress and explicitly recommending that players wanting a polished, bug-free experience wait for the 1.0 full release. Since launch, the developer has maintained a consistent and productive update cadence. Foundational fixes to the save/load system shipped in December 2025, followed by feature patches through January and February 2026 adding new moves, controls improvements, and bug fixes. The most recent updates (March 26–27, 2026) overhauled the mech boosting system, added new item effects, and reworked the chest system. The developer's February 28, 2026 post provided a clear development roadmap: March would focus on restoring content cut before Early Access launch, followed by expansion of existing levels, with entirely new content expected to be in full swing by April 2026. The developer explicitly stated that level expansion and new content would continue in parallel throughout the rest of 2026, leading up to the 1.0 release out of Early Access. A December 22, 2025 milestone post confirmed that strong early sales (10,000 copies in 12 days) secured the developer's ability to continue working on the game full-time without financial concern. As of October 1, 2026, the last developer communication was on March 27, 2026 — approximately six months ago. Given the developer was posting updates roughly every few weeks through March 2026, this silence is worth noting. However, the developer explicitly stated in February 2026 that work would continue throughout the year toward 1.0, and the game remains in Early Access with no indication of completion or abandonment.
