Evaluation

Evospace has been in Early Access since February 14, 2019, and remains so. The developer Quantum Rivet continues to ship substantial updates at a consistent pace throughout its Early Access lifetime. The most recent major update, version 0.21.1, was released on July 8, 2026. This update added multiplayer (in alpha), a reworked world generator with new biomes and terrain, a reworked train and logic system at the engine level, new building and environment tools, and various other improvements. The post explicitly states what is coming next: "The next development goals are bringing trains into the game and changing ore distribution." This signals continued active development with specific near-term goals already identified. Before that, version 0.21.0 shipped on April 11, 2026, with customizable block appearances, a weather system, reworked conveyor logic, a new LOD rendering system, and a multiplayer prototype. A feature patch followed on April 22, 2026. Version 0.20.0 launched on July 14, 2025 as a foundational overhaul of energy, research, and world generation systems, and version 0.19.0 shipped on June 22, 2024 with dynamic research trees, new rendering via Lumen, and decorative blocks. Major updates have arrived roughly every 6–13 months going back to 2021. The game has no announced 1.0 release date, and the developer has made no statement indicating that development is winding down or nearing completion. The July 8, 2026 post is the most recent developer communication — just 37 days before today's date — and it describes future work actively in progress.

About this game

Fully Modifiable World

In Evospace, you are free to shape the world however you like. Dig, build, terraform — every block can be moved, and every inch of the world is under your control.

Safe, but Not Easy

There are no enemies or deadly threats — just you and endless possibilities for building. But the path to a highly efficient factory is full of engineering challenges and logistical puzzles.

Deep Automation

Design complex production chains with hundreds of machines and technologies. Manage the flow of items, fluids, electricity, heat, and kinetic energy. Build logic circuits, configure blocks with controllers, create intelligent networks, and integrate everything into one cohesive factory system.

Chemistry, Metallurgy, and Fuel

Master raw material processing — from basic ores to refined metals and advanced alloys. Use chemical processes to produce fuels, acids, solvents, and components for complex recipes. Control production chains with attention to pressure, temperature, and chemical reactions.

Energy: From Coal to Uranium

Choose the right energy sources for your factory — coal burners, bioreactors, solar panels, steam turbines, or nuclear reactors. Proper energy distribution is key to maintaining a stable and efficient system.

Circuits and High-Tech

Progress from mechanical machines to electronics, digital logic, fusion reactors, and teleportation technology. Create microchips, computers, and automated controllers. Unlock increasingly powerful automation tools.

Hundreds of Technologies

Unlock hundreds of technologies through the research tree. New resources, machines, materials, and upgrades will become available step by step as your factory evolves.
