Evaluation
F1® 22 is the official game of the 2022 Formula One season, released on July 1, 2022. It is no longer available for purchase on Steam — the store listing shows no active purchase options, meaning the game has been delisted. This is consistent with EA and Codemasters' annual release model, where each year's F1 title is eventually removed from sale as the series moves on to newer entries. The developer's own news posts from mid-2023 onward are focused entirely on promoting F1® 23 (launched June 16, 2023) and later F1® 24, using the F1® 22 news feed primarily as a marketing channel to encourage existing owners to upgrade. The last news post even offers F1® 22 owners a 15% discount on F1® 24. No further content or updates for F1® 22 itself have been announced or delivered since it was superseded by its successor.
Evidence
F1® 23 officially launched, with F1® 22 news feed used to promote the new game and encourage owners to switch.
No purchase options are available for F1® 22 on Steam — the game has been removed from sale.
