Evaluation
Feed the Deep launched on August 16, 2024, developed solo by Luke Muscat. In the weeks immediately following launch, Luke shipped three patches addressing bugs, adding controller support, and making quality-of-life improvements. The only DLC listed is the game's soundtrack, which was released on December 20, 2024 — a standalone music release, not a content expansion.
There have been no developer communications of any kind since September 7, 2024, which was the last patch. No future content has been announced, no roadmap exists, and no unreleased DLC is listed on the store. The store description and all developer posts focus on the game as a complete, finished product. Luke's launch post framed the release as the culmination of his solo development journey with no mention of post-launch content plans.
Feed the Deep appears to have launched as a complete, self-contained roguelike. The post-launch patches resolved launch issues but did not introduce new gameplay content, and the developer has not communicated any plans for expansions or updates beyond those fixes.
Evidence
Feed the Deep officially launched for PC and Mac. Developer framed this as the culmination of a solo development journey with no mention of post-launch content plans.
Patch 3 released with bug fixes and small quality-of-life improvements. Last developer communication on record.

ABOUT THE DEVELOPER
Feed the Deep was built almost entirely by me, Luke Muscat. Back in the Old Times I was creator of Jetpack Joyride and Fruit Ninja. A couple of years ago I decided I wanted to try the ultimate game dev challenge and make a game completely solo.
Feed the Deep is inspired by Dome Keeper and Spelunky, mixed in with my own original ideas and twists. I've also been documenting the process on YouTube, so you can see the game go from hour one of development to where it is today!
