Evaluation
Firegirl: Hack 'n Splash Rescue originally launched on December 14, 2021. Following launch, the developer (Dejima) released several patches through early 2022 addressing bugs and adding minor content improvements. On June 22, 2022, the game was relaunched as the "DX" (DeluXe) edition, adding Steam Deck compatibility, Steam achievements, and various performance and stability improvements. The store description explicitly brands the current version as the "definitive edition" of the game. The DX update was provided free of charge to existing owners, and no further content or DLC has been announced or listed since then. The most recent developer communication (March 18, 2025) was a promotional bundle post for a different game (Reignbreaker), with no mention of any new Firegirl content. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced roadmaps, and no developer statements indicating further content is planned. The game appears to be a complete, finished product in its definitive form.
