Forsaken Isle

Forsaken Isle launched its 1.0 release on July 18, 2025, graduating out of a long Early Access period that began in February 2015. The 1.0 release itself was a major content drop, adding a new fiery zone, void biome, new NPCs, and world improvements. Since launch, the developer has continued actively updating the game. Feature patches arrived on July 26, 2025 (1.0.3), August 9, 2025 (1.0.4), and September 29, 2025 (1.0.6, which added full controller support). The August 2025 post also explicitly mentioned that controller support was highly requested and actively being worked on — a commitment the developer followed through on in the September patch. Looking further back, the developer shipped major content updates at a sustained cadence throughout Early Access: the Redux overhaul in November 2023, a dungeon boss update in December 2023, Update 0.12 in October 2024, and the 1.0 launch content in July 2025. This establishes a strong, multi-year pattern of ongoing content delivery. As of June 15, 2026, the most recent developer communication was on September 29, 2025. That's approximately 8.5 months of silence, which does push beyond the recent post-1.0 patch cadence (roughly every 4–6 weeks in the months after launch). However, the developer has never announced that development is complete or that no further updates are planned. Given the long history of sustained development and no closure statement, the game continues to show the hallmarks of a project in ongoing development — just in a quieter phase.
