Freddi Fish and the Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds is a classic 1994 point-and-click adventure game that was brought to Steam by Night Dive Studios in April 2014. It launched as a complete, self-contained product — a faithful port of the original game with no post-launch content planned beyond technical maintenance.
Since release, Night Dive Studios issued two technical updates: one in August 2014 (updating ScummVM and adding language support) and one in April 2018 (a significant engine upgrade to ScummVM 2.0 with improved hardware compatibility and cloud save support). Both updates were purely technical improvements to keep the game running on modern hardware — no new gameplay content, story, or DLC was ever added or announced.
The last developer communication was on April 19, 2018. The store description contains no references to ongoing development, future content, or any live service elements. There are no DLC listings of any kind. This game shipped as a finished product and has remained complete since its original release.
