Frog Detective 2: The Case of the Invisible Wizard launched on December 9, 2019 as a self-contained, approximately one-hour mystery adventure — the second entry in the Frog Detective series. The only DLC released is the original soundtrack (December 18, 2019), which is not gameplay content. In a June 2024 Steam post, developer Grace Bruxner explicitly addressed the question of future games: she stated she is "taking a big break from everything and enjoying living in a post-Frog Detective world," and confirmed the news was about console releases and physical merchandise — not a new game. She directly pre-empted fan speculation by saying "No, it's not another game." Since then, the only developer communication has been a May 2025 localization update adding Japanese support. No new gameplay content has been announced or released for this game. The game launched as a complete, finished product and has received no post-launch gameplay additions. Post-launch activity has been limited to language support updates and platform expansions. The developer has communicated that she is stepping back from Frog Detective, and no further content is planned.
