Fruitbus launched on Steam on October 28, 2024 and has seen consistent post-launch activity from Krillbite Studio. The developer has run a series of seasonal in-game events: a Holiday event in December 2024 (returned in December 2025), a Valentine's Day event in February 2025, and an Easter event in April 2025 — each bringing new cosmetic rewards and world decorations. These are shipped alongside regular bug-fix and feature patches. On June 26, 2025, the developer posted Patch 1.0.12, which included quality-of-life improvements and acknowledged an intention to "continue fixing bugs and improving the experience," while being candid that large new features are unlikely. The July 31, 2025 patch (1.0.14) specifically noted it was a final PC patch ahead of the game's Xbox and Nintendo Switch launch on August 7, 2025 — demonstrating that the developer is actively investing in the game across new platforms. The game has also been confirmed for a PlayStation 5 release (digital June 19, 2025, with a physical edition to follow). The developer has not made any statement indicating the game is complete or that no further updates are planned; on the contrary, they have maintained a steady release cadence across events, patches, and platform expansions through at least July 2025.
