Out and About is still in Early Access and can be purchased. On October 11, 2026, the developer announced that the 1.0 launch has moved to early 2027 because cooking turned out to be a much bigger feature than expected. A regular game update is scheduled for November 2026 with cooking minigames, Photo Quests, Achievements, a shorter tutorial storyline and multiple save slots. The final autumn story chapter is being held back for the 1.0 launch. The July 7, 2026 post also described further updates after 1.0, plus free plant DLCs and larger paid DLCs with new areas, plants, NPCs and features. The Supporter Pack is the only DLC listed and it has already been released, so nothing else is currently listed for sale. The store description still refers to a Q4 2026 1.0 target, which the October 11 announcement has replaced.
