Gensokyo Defenders launched on April 24, 2019, alongside its only DLC — Gensokyo Defenders Plus — which was released on the same day as the base game. In the weeks following launch, the developer released several patches addressing balance adjustments and bug fixes. After a final bug fix on April 15, 2021, there have been no further communications from the developer. The game has no unreleased DLC, no announced future content, no roadmap, and no post-launch major content releases of any kind. The developer has never indicated plans for additional content beyond what shipped at launch. The game launched as a complete package, and its sole DLC shipped on launch day alongside the base game.
