On September 28, 2026, after five years of Early Access development, the developer Joey Sipos officially released Glider Sim Deluxe as a full 1.0 launch. In the release announcement, the developer was explicit that development is continuing: "Development is far from over. I have plenty more updates planned, so stay tuned." This is a direct, unambiguous statement of intent to keep adding content. The game's history backs this up. Throughout 2025 and 2026, the developer shipped a steady stream of major and feature updates: the Earth Online global multiplayer overhaul (July 2025), a Unity 6 engine upgrade with shared launch sites (October 2025), the "Glider Sim Deluxe" rebrand with free Earth Online access (December 2025), a full dynamic day/night cycle system (May 2026), and most recently a brand-new aircraft — the Powered Speedwing Trike — added in August 2026. Updates have been arriving roughly every few weeks throughout the year. The most recent patch landed on August 31, 2026, just four weeks before the 1.0 launch. With the developer actively shipping updates at a high pace and explicitly promising more content ahead, the game is squarely in active ongoing development following its 1.0 release.
