Evaluation
Gods Will Be Watching launched on July 24, 2014 as a complete six-chapter narrative experience. Shortly after launch, on August 7, 2014, the developer shipped "The Mercy Update," which added three new difficulty modes and a collection of bug fixes — rounding out the game's content. No DLC was ever released or announced for this title, and no roadmap or future content plans have been communicated.
Since then, Deconstructeam's news posts on this game's Steam page have been announcements of entirely separate projects: Essays on Empathy (a compilation released May 2021), The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood (announced April 2023), Many Nights a Whisper (released April 2025), and Virtue and a Sledgehammer (announced December 2025). These posts appear here because the developer uses the Gods Will Be Watching Steam hub as a general studio communication channel, but none of them represent new content for Gods Will Be Watching itself.
The game shipped as a self-contained, finished product and has received no post-launch content beyond the August 2014 patch. It is complete.
Evidence
