GRANDIA HD Remaster launched on October 15, 2019 as a remaster of the classic 1997/1999 JRPG. The developer has treated it as a finished product from the start — there are no DLC listings, no season passes, and no roadmaps pointing to future content. Post-launch, the developer delivered a series of bug fix patches through September 3, 2020, and then on May 26, 2022 shipped a meaningful feature update adding Korean and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) localization — the last substantive update to the game. No further updates or content announcements have been made for this title since that date. More recent news posts from the developer (October 2024, January 2025, and April 2025) are entirely focused on promoting the LUNAR Remastered Collection, a separate product. A June 25, 2026 post announced a bundle grouping GRANDIA HD Remaster with other Game Arts titles, but this is a storefront bundle, not new content for the game itself. The game is a complete remaster package. All planned work — including the belated language additions — appears to have shipped. No new content has been announced or hinted at for this title.

Originally created by Game Arts, developers of such classics as the Lunar series, GRANDIA was met with wide critical acclaim when released for the SEGA Saturn in 1997 and PlayStation® in 1999.
