GRANDIA II HD Remaster originally launched on Steam on August 24, 2015 as the GRANDIA II Anniversary Edition, then received a significant HD Remaster upgrade on October 15, 2019 with enhanced visuals, widescreen support, and new language options. Since launch, the developers at GAME ARTS and GungHo Online Entertainment America have issued several patches and updates. The most recent substantive content update arrived on May 26, 2022, adding Korean and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) localization for the first time, along with bug fixes. A bug fix patch in September 2020 addressed a range of crashes and performance issues. Beyond these updates, the most recent developer communications (October 2024 and June 2026) are promotional posts announcing other GAME ARTS titles — the LUNAR Remastered Collection and a Game Arts bundle — rather than any new content for GRANDIA II itself. There is no unreleased DLC, no announced future content, and no roadmap. The game is a complete, self-contained remaster of a classic JRPG. The last meaningful content addition was the May 2022 localization patch, which represents the final substantive update to the game's content.
