Gregory Horror Show: Soul of Roses entered Steam Early Access on November 15, 2024, with developer Unframe explicitly stating the game is unfinished and that they are working toward a full 1.0 release based on player feedback.
On November 22, 2024, the developer published a roadmap promising a major content update within approximately six months and further updates toward the full version within a year of the Early Access launch. On February 7, 2025, the developer shipped the local co-op update (adding a new playable character, James) and confirmed in that same post that work on a major update with additional storylines was ongoing.
That February 7, 2025 post is the last communication from the developer of any kind. The six-month window for the promised major update (approximately May 2025) and the one-year window for the full version (approximately November 2025) have both passed as of October 1, 2026 — with no announcements, patch notes, or developer posts to account for the delay. The promised story content has not shipped, and there has been no explanation from the developer about the status of the project.
