Hammerwatch Anniversary Edition launched on August 15, 2023 as a remastered celebration of the original 2013 Hammerwatch. The game shipped as a complete package with three campaigns (Castle Hammerwatch, Sun Temple, and the new Shaftlocke Tower), seven playable classes, a new item system, updated graphics, and expanded mod support. Following launch, the developer released two feature patches — one in October 2023 adding quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes, and one in April 2024 addressing balance and puzzle issues. The last developer communication was on April 24, 2024. No additional content has been announced, no DLC is listed on the store, and no roadmap or future update plans have been communicated. With only a single major content release (the launch itself) and no signals of ongoing development, this game launched as a finished product and appears complete.
