Evaluation

Heroes of Normandie launched on October 1, 2015 and received active post-launch support through mid-2017. Two paid DLC expansions shipped: US Rangers on December 15, 2015, and 21st Panzer Division on August 30, 2016. The developer also delivered several major free updates, most notably the Action Cards system on May 4, 2016. Feature patches continued through February 27, 2017, and the final recorded communication was a bug-fix patch on May 25, 2017. Both DLC items are fully released, no unreleased DLC exists in the store listing, and the developer has made no announcements of additional content since May 2017. The store description mentions "tons of features to expand the experience in the near future," but this language dates from the 2015 launch period and was plausibly fulfilled by the subsequent DLC and free updates that shipped through 2016–2017. There have been no developer communications of any kind since May 25, 2017 — nearly nine years of silence — which strongly indicates development concluded around that point. The game is best understood as a complete, finished product with no further content expected.
