If Found...

If Found... launched on May 19, 2020 and received post-launch patches in June 2020 to fix bugs and polish the game. In December 2020, the developer released what they called the "GOTY Edition" patch — a substantial update that added a reworked epilogue, new art throughout the game, visual upgrades to many chapters, and a new credits song. The developer explicitly noted at that time that "this is the first time since the game's been done" they were living through the same calendar dates as the story, indicating they considered the game's content complete at that point. No DLC has been released since launch beyond the original soundtrack, and no further content updates have shipped after December 2020 (a minor December 2021 patch adjusted UI/controls, and a June 2024 patch fixed a MacOS rendering bug — both purely maintenance updates with no new story content). The developer's 5th anniversary post on May 22, 2025 is the most recent and most informative communication. In it, the director reflects on the game's completion, confirms that after finishing If Found's ports and patches at the end of 2020, the studio moved on to a new (ultimately troubled) 3D project from 2021–2024, and is now working on a brand new game with just the two core team members. While the director briefly mentions having considered returning to If Found earlier in 2025 to expand the gameplay, they immediately clarify that "it doesn't seem like the time is right for them" — no such work is planned or underway. The game is a finished, self-contained narrative experience with no announced future content.
