Immortal Legacy: The Jade Cipher launched on March 18, 2021 as a complete, self-contained VR adventure game. The developer's earliest communication on March 25, 2021 acknowledged it was their first PC VR title and committed to fixing bugs and issues — not to adding new content. All subsequent updates (V1.01 on April 1, 2021; V1.02 on April 13, 2021; and V1.03 on November 29, 2021) were purely maintenance-focused: adding controller compatibility, fixing subtitle sizing, and addressing general bugs. The last developer communication was on November 29, 2021, and no updates of any kind have appeared since. There is no DLC listed, no season pass, no roadmap, and no announcements of future content. The game launched as a finished narrative experience and has received no post-launch content additions beyond compatibility and bug fixes.

With the innovative full free move, excellent atmosphere rendering and rich interactive elements, the game was highly praised by numerous VR players and was nominated as “Best Action and Adventure Game” at the TIGA Games Industry Award 2019.
