Iris and the Giant launched on February 27, 2020 as a complete 1.0 release. The developer quickly followed up with bug fix patches and a feature update in March–April 2020, then shipped a substantial content expansion on April 27, 2020 — the "Path of the Ferryman" update (patch 1.1), which added a full new run with 24 levels, 23 new monsters, 9 new cards, and controller support. After that, activity tapered to bug fixes, with the final recorded developer communication being a bug fix patch (v1.1.6) on May 11, 2023. No new content has been announced, no unreleased DLC exists in the store listing, and no roadmap or future plans have been communicated since then. The only DLC ever listed — the soundtrack — was released on March 10, 2020. Given that the last meaningful developer activity was a maintenance patch on May 11, 2023 with no follow-up in over three years, and no outstanding commitments or announced content, the game appears to have reached its completed state.
