Skogdal launched on April 28, 2025 as a fully self-contained deckbuilding adventure card game. Shortly after launch, on May 14, 2025, the developer shipped "Major Update 1" (version 1.1.0), which added new content including a playable character, new cards, and gameplay improvements based on player feedback. This was followed by a feature patch on July 15, 2025 and a minor update on December 18, 2025 adding Steam community features (badges, trading cards, emotes). The most recent developer communication was a bug fix on March 30, 2026. There is only one DLC listed — the soundtrack — which has already been released. No future content, expansions, or roadmap has been announced by the developer. The December 2025 post, while warm and celebratory in tone, describes the game as a small niche title with a healthy player community but makes no mention of planned future content. The post-launch updates have been progressively smaller (a major content update, then feature patches, then bug fixes), and no post announces anything new on the horizon. This is consistent with a game that launched as a complete product and has received post-launch polish, now in a maintenance state.
