Jotun: Valhalla Edition

Jotun originally launched on September 29, 2015 as a hand-drawn action-exploration game set in Norse mythology. After launch, Thunder Lotus shipped a handful of quality-of-life patches and then released the Valhalla Edition on September 9, 2016 — a free update for existing owners that added Valhalla Mode, a harder boss-rush variant of the game. The store page and title now reflect this as the definitive version of the game, bundling everything into one complete package. The only DLC ever listed for the game is the original soundtrack, which was released alongside the base game on September 29, 2015. No additional DLC or expansions have ever been announced or listed as upcoming. Developer news posted to this game's Steam page since 2016 consists entirely of cross-promotional announcements for Thunder Lotus's other projects — Sundered (2017), Sundered: Eldritch Edition (2018), At Fate's End (announced June 2025), and 33 Immortals (announced January 2026). None of these posts communicate any new content plans for Jotun itself; the team has simply moved on to new games. The Jotun team is confirmed to be working on At Fate's End, while a separate Thunder Lotus team is building 33 Immortals. Jotun: Valhalla Edition is a complete, finished game. All content has been delivered, the definitive edition has been released, and Thunder Lotus has directed its full development attention to new projects.
