Evaluation
Kerbal Space Program launched out of Early Access on April 27, 2015 and received a rich post-launch development history spanning six years. Two paid expansions were released: Making History on March 13, 2018, and Breaking Ground on May 30, 2019. The game continued receiving free major updates through the 1.x version cycle, with updates 1.9, 1.10, and 1.11 shipping in 2020 and 1.12 arriving on June 24, 2021.
On June 24, 2021, the developer explicitly announced that version 1.12 — titled "On Final Approach" — was the final major update for the original KSP, as the team was shifting focus to Kerbal Space Program 2. The final patch in the KSP1 cycle, version 1.12.2, shipped on August 3, 2021 with over 90 bug fixes and a handful of small additions, marking the official completion of sustained development. A later maintenance patch (1.12.4) on November 2, 2022 confirmed this direction, with the developer stating that "future patches for KSP will be less prioritized" as resources were committed to KSP2.
Both DLC expansions are released and no unreleased DLC is listed on the store. The developer has made no announcements of any further content for the original KSP. The game is complete as a standalone product.
Evidence

About this game
In Kerbal Space Program, take charge of the space program for the alien race known as the Kerbals. You have access to an array of parts to assemble fully-functional spacecraft that flies (or doesn’t) based on realistic aerodynamic and orbital physics. Launch your Kerbal crew into orbit and beyond (while keeping them alive) to explore moons and planets in the Kerbol solar system, constructing bases and space stations to expand the reach of your expedition.
Kerbal Space Program features three gameplay modes. In Science Mode, perform space experiments to unlock new technology and advance the knowledge of Kerbalkind. In Career Mode, oversee every aspect of the space program, including construction, strategy, funding, upgrades, and more. In Sandbox, you are free to build any spacecraft you can think of, with all parts and technology in the game.
