Kindergarten 2 launched on July 29, 2019 as a complete, self-contained sequel with 9 story missions, 50 collectible cards, and 30 unlockable outfits. The game shipped as a finished product with no season pass, DLC, or post-launch content roadmap. Following launch, the developer issued a series of bug fix patches through August 2019 to address issues discovered after release, then a December 2019 patch that added a seasonal cosmetic outfit alongside a note that "more stuff in the works" would be revealed in 2020. However, no such announcement materialized — the teaser was not followed by any new content release or further elaboration. In December 2022, the developer released a significant polish update in preparation for a Nintendo Switch port, fixing a wide range of bugs and quality-of-life issues. A final small patch in February 2023 corrected a seasonal outfit bug. There is no unreleased DLC on the store, no announced future content, and no developer statement indicating ongoing development beyond maintenance. The last developer communication was on February 27, 2023. The game was clearly designed and delivered as a complete experience, and all post-launch activity has been maintenance and polish rather than new content.
