Little Misfortune

Little Misfortune launched on September 18, 2019 as a complete, self-contained interactive story. Both pieces of DLC — the original soundtrack and official artbook — shipped on the same day as the game itself, making the entire package available from day one. There has been no post-launch content added to the game itself. A December 27, 2023 post from studio founder Nati Martinsson provides important context: she described years of failed attempts to expand the studio and develop new projects (including a Fran Bow DLC, Fran Bow 2, and other titles), ultimately concluding that those projects were cancelled and the team was scaling back to a small core. This was a candid acknowledgment that the expansion plans did not come to fruition — not a promise of new content for Little Misfortune. An August 21, 2025 anniversary post celebrates Killmonday Games' 10-year history and teases news of an "upcoming game" — meaning a new, separate project from the studio, not additional content for Little Misfortune. Little Misfortune was designed and shipped as a finished standalone story. No additional content for it has been announced or is in development.
