Kyoto Colorful Days is a self-contained romance visual novel that launched on June 14, 2016. In the weeks following launch, the developer issued two bug-fix patches addressing a multi-display issue, and on July 6, 2016 released an OST DLC — the only piece of additional content ever produced for the game. That OST DLC is the sole entry in the DLC list, and it has been released. All 18 developer news posts since launch are accounted for as the OST release, the bug fixes, and routine sales/discount announcements — none announce or hint at any further content. Developer communication appears to have effectively ceased after July 2016. The game launched as a complete, story-driven visual novel with no roadmap, no season pass, and no announced future content. It is a finished product.

The story centers around the protagonist, a young man who is drifting by aimlessly in life, unable to commit to a job.
With no particular goal in sight, he visits Kyoto, a city to which his grandfather has connections.
In his meetings with the local people there, and two girls in particular, he will discover his own path in life.
