Evaluation
Lake launched on September 1, 2021 as a self-contained narrative game set over two weeks in 1986. After launch, Gamious continued to support and expand the game: they shipped several quality-of-life patches and feature updates, announced a prequel DLC called Season's Greetings in June 2023, and released it on November 15, 2023. That DLC tells a separate story set a few months before the main game, with Thomas Weiss (Meredith's father) as the protagonist. The final major addition to the game was Endless Mode, released on April 25, 2024, which added a replayable delivery experience for both the base game and the Season's Greetings environments. Since then, the developer has continued light maintenance — a cat-petting feature was added in August 2024, and weather/time-of-day options for Endless Mode arrived in November 2025 — but no new story content, DLC, or roadmap for further content has been announced. All DLC has shipped, and there are no unreleased items listed on the store. The most recent developer communication was November 27, 2025, a small holiday feature patch. The overall picture is a complete game that received one paid DLC expansion and a free gameplay mode, with the developer since moving into minor quality-of-life additions rather than new content.
Evidence
Endless Mode launched for both Lake Classic and Season's Greetings environments — the last major content addition to the game.
The only DLC, Season's Greetings, has been released. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store.

About this game
It's September 1, 1986. You take on the role of forty-something Meredith Weiss, who returns from the big city to her quiet hometown. She exchanges her busy career at a software company to fill in for her dad, the local mail carrier.
During her two-week stay in beautiful Providence Oaks, Oregon, she runs into a few familiar faces as well as plenty of new folk. As Meredith, you get to decide who to talk to, who to befriend and perhaps even start a romantic relationship with.
Whatever happens, at the end of her stint she'll have to make up her mind: return to her demanding job in the big city, or stay in the town she grew up in?

Play Lake and…
- Escape to a beautiful, rustic environment without cellphones and the Internet.
- Drive around the lake in your dad's trusty mail truck, or let the auto-pilot do the work.
- Talk to a range of engaging characters, each with their own personalities and quirks.
- Choose after-work activities: hang out with your friends, help out your neighbours or stay home and read a book.
- Experience two weeks of branching story that doesn't shy away from slice-of-life themes.
- Determine your own story: there are no 'right' or 'wrong' answers or endings, simply what you want to happen.
