Long Story Short is an adult visual novel in Early Access, developed solo by TTrickGames as a hobby project alongside a full-time job and family. The game launched on Steam on October 24, 2024 and has been receiving regular content updates since.
Two major updates have shipped since launch: V0.10 entered public alpha on June 17, 2025 and was fully released on August 16, 2025, and V0.11 entered alpha on January 23, 2026 — though that alpha only covered the first portion of the chapter, stopping just before the game's "bar night" event.
The developer is now working on completing V0.11's bar night sequence, which they describe as the largest and most complex scene they've ever built, with extensive branching paths that account for prior choices, relationship states, and NTR settings. A June 13, 2026 progress update explained the scope of the work and why no ETA would be given. The most recent post, dated September 1, 2026, confirmed development is continuing despite hardware complications — the developer's primary GPU (a 3090) failed, requiring a workaround while they await proper software support for a replacement 5090. The developer shared multiple preview renders from the upcoming bar night update and stated clearly that "the work hasn't stopped, and nothing is on hold."
The developer has been consistent throughout about the project's long-term trajectory: the store description references "continuous updates" and plans to "explore many adult themes and fetishes before wrapping up the story," and in a March 2025 post the developer stated they "don't see a reality where I won't finish this game." The game is mid-development, with the next content chapter in active progress and the developer communicating as recently as September 1, 2026.

The Story
You will be playing as a guy who's never really clicked with girls. You'd much rather spend your time on the computer playing video games than dealing with real-life relationships. However, things quickly change. Your best friend, Joe, has made a significant change in his life, and he is there to pull you out of your comfort zone into a new lifestyle that you never thought you'd experience. Vanessa, Joe's girlfriend, and Ann, her longtime friend, are just two of the girls you'll encounter early on. Are you going to build a relationship with sweet, shy Ann? Maybe you'll corrupt her instead? Heck, why not try to steal Vanessa away from Joe?
