Evaluation

Lumberjack Simulator launched into Early Access and reached its full 1.0 release on October 3, 2021. During its development lifecycle, the game received a consistent stream of major updates: a Career mode overhaul in January 2021, Steam Workshop support in March 2021, the Big Chipper update in July 2022, and finally the Tracked Vehicles DLC pack on August 31, 2022 — which added four new DLC items (tracked feller, tracked loader, tracked harvester, and a bank loan system) and represented the largest content release in the game's history. All four DLC items are marked as released, and there are no unreleased DLC entries in the store listing. The last developer news post of any kind was on August 31, 2022 — the Tracked Vehicles DLC launch announcement. Since that date, there have been no further news posts, patch notes, feature updates, or developer communications of any kind. This silence has extended from August 31, 2022 through today's date of June 27, 2026 — well over three years with no official communication. The August 2022 DLC release post also notably mentioned a "Lowboy trailer - (coming soon)" item in its changelog, but no such DLC was ever listed on the store or released. Given the more than three years of complete silence that followed, this appears to have been an aspirational note that was quietly dropped rather than a concrete commitment. No subsequent post reaffirmed plans for it, and no store listing was ever created for it. With no unreleased DLC, no outstanding developer commitments backed by a store listing, a years-long communication blackout, and all released content now fully shipped, the game's content appears to have concluded with the August 31, 2022 DLC drop.
Evidence
Tracked Vehicles DLC pack launched — the last major content release and the last official developer communication of any kind. Also mentioned a 'Lowboy trailer - coming soon' but this was never listed as a store DLC and was never followed up on.

About this game

Are you ready to put your forestry and logging skills to the test? In this simulator game, you navigate an open world, the vehicles and the trees being in accordance with real-world physics. You can interact with the terrain (altering it in the process), cruise around in the off-road automobiles, and start putting some callouses on your palms by swinging around a chainsaw, an axe, and other tools.

Unlike any other simulation game, this game encourages you to master the wilderness. Each tree is like something straight out of a real-life forest, and you can cut it down however you like, paring away the branches with your hand axe and selling off the valuable logs at the local mill. How will you invest your proceeds? Machines, new land, truck upgrades: there are many options available to you. This is your business; run it how you see fit.

These badass forestry vehicles feature realistic steering, suspension, gear shifts, and transmission. For truck enthusiasts, these vehicles will be familiar – the models straight out of the logging industry. You set the controls too, changing the drive mode depending on the terrain that you need to cross. Don't get stuck!

The map is an open world, its details numerous and filled with challenges. From high slopes to varying surfaces, there is plenty to look out for, and you need to stay focused in order to deliver your logs to their final destination (and keep your truck intact).

You choose when to enter and exit your vehicles, when you use your tools, which tools to use, and how to clear and move trees. Be careful: you are going to need a plan if you want to thrive in the logging business.
