Mansions of Madness

Mansions of Madness is a companion app for the Mansions of Madness Second Edition board game, originally released on August 1, 2016. The developer has maintained the app for a decade, delivering new DLC scenarios, integrating physical expansion content, and shipping regular maintenance patches throughout that period. The most recent major content is the "Mirror of a Man" DLC scenario, announced and released on September 15, 2026 — just two days before today's assessment. This follows the "Turn of a Page" DLC released on May 7, 2025, meaning the developer has shipped two new paid DLC scenarios within roughly 16 months, after a long gap since the previous paid DLC (Altered Fates) in August 2018. The DLC listing confirms both are now available. A maintenance patch was also published on June 1, 2026. The developer has not announced any future content at this time, but neither have they indicated that development is winding down. With a brand-new DLC just released and a clear pattern of ongoing investment in the platform — including the AsmoConnect cross-platform feature added in July 2024 — the game is in active, ongoing development. No statement of completion has been made.
