Metro 2033 is no longer available for purchase on Steam — the store listing has no purchase options. The game was originally released on March 16, 2010. In May 2014, 4A Games announced Metro Redux, a remastered collection that rebuilt Metro 2033 using an upgraded engine with improved visuals, new gameplay modes, and enhanced features. The Redux version effectively superseded the original release. The original Metro 2033 has since been removed from sale, with the Metro 2033 Redux edition (App ID 286690) serving as the current purchasable version of this game.
