Evaluation
Nightshade/百花百狼 is a romance visual novel that launched on Steam on April 11, 2017 (having previously been released on PS Vita in Japan in 2016). On launch day, a soundtrack DLC was made available. On December 21, 2017, the developers released the final piece of additional content: an Additional Scenarios DLC containing five fully voiced stories with new illustrations — announced and shipped in the same news post. Both DLC items in the store listing are marked as released, and no further content has been announced or hinted at for the game itself since that date. Subsequent developer news posts on the Nightshade Steam page have been limited to publisher-wide promotions — cross-game bundles, sales, and announcements for other titles such as DesperaDrops (May 2025), Bakumatsu Renka SHINSENGUMI (June 2021), and MAGLAM LORD (May 2022). None of these posts announce new content for Nightshade. The game launched as a complete visual novel with a defined story and character routes, and its content was fully delivered by December 21, 2017.
