Nine Sols launched on May 28, 2024 as a complete single-player action-platformer. The two DLC items listed are a Soundtrack (released May 29, 2024) and an Art Book (released May 20, 2025) — both are supplemental media, not game content expansions. No story DLC, expansion passes, or additional gameplay content has been announced or released since launch.
Post-launch developer activity has consisted almost entirely of bug fixes, engine updates (including security patches), quality-of-life improvements, and localization expansions (German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, Italian, Polish). The one notable feature addition was a "Battle Memories" mode in November 2024, which allows players to replay previously defeated bosses — a post-game replay convenience feature rather than new content. The developer also introduced new cutscenes for an existing character encounter in October 2024.
The most recent developer communication was a bug fix patch on December 16, 2025, addressing a memory leak and engine update.
