Notmads entered Early Access on May 13, 2026, after approximately five years of development by solo developer Rhomita. The developer has been transparent from the start that this is an ongoing project with substantial content still planned. At launch, the developer committed to adding new areas, story content, features, and ongoing improvements shaped by player feedback. On May 28, 2026, a public Early Access roadmap was published laying out specific development phases. The first roadmap phase — an onboarding rework — was delivered on June 14, 2026 as Alpha Update 0.6.0. Since launch, the developer has maintained a very active and consistent update pace: bug fixes on June 5, the major onboarding overhaul on June 14, a pathfinding fix on June 22, balance and quality-of-life improvements on July 4, combat improvements on July 13, and another patch on August 23, 2026. The most recent developer communication on August 23, 2026 confirms that version 0.7.0 is currently in development and will include the remaining main storyline quests for the first island, along with new content and systems required to support them. The developer has also been working on a boss system (both an optional boss and a main story boss for the first island), which has been referenced across multiple updates and has not yet shipped. This is an actively developed Early Access game with a published roadmap, a solo developer who communicates clearly and frequently, and concrete upcoming content — including named quests, boss encounters, and additional systems — still in progress.

Take your home with you

Your beast carries your home across the world. You can stay with it or move ahead on your own when needed. It stays with you, and you can explore on your own whenever you want.

A magical home

Your home is more than a shelter. Powered by its core, it lets you build magical stations, refine materials, and shape your setup as you go. Add utilities and defensive towers to turn it into a moving fortress.

Gather without tools

You gather resources through your Magical Beam, not axes or pickaxes. Improve it over time, unlock new ways to gather, and use the materials you find to refine resources, brew potions, combine gear, and improve your setup.

Shape your magic

You are a mage, but you are not locked into one path. Focus on one style or mix different ones. Use fire, frost, lightning, arcane power, or physical strength, and find spells with different tiers, stats, and variations. Your gear, perks, and choices define how you fight.

Explore the world

The world is handcrafted and meant to be explored at your own pace. You will come across towns, caves, camps, and hidden places, always looking for better loot, new materials, and the next step forward.

Play solo or with friends

Play solo or with up to 5 players online. Share the same living beast, build on the same moving home, explore together, and progress in a shared world.
