Enshrouded entered Early Access on January 24, 2024 and the Steam Early Access flag remains set, meaning the assessment continues to reflect that status even though the developer launched version 1.0 out of Early Access on October 15, 2026 — today is October 8, 2026, one week before that date. Keen Games has been actively building toward 1.0 throughout 2026. The most recent major content post, dated October 8, 2026, introduces Sparkworks — a brand-new logic system arriving with 1.0 that lets players wire levers, pressure plates, trapdoors, and other interactive elements together. The developer describes it as a significant new feature and teases that the full 1.0 highlights video is coming the following week. A September 23, 2026 patch post detailed combat additions landing with 1.0: nine new spells, wand and archer improvements, new enemy variants across all factions, a raised player level cap of 50, and movement animation improvements. The June 25, 2026 announcement confirmed October 15, 2026 as the official 1.0 release date. In earlier communications, the developer noted the 1.0 update would include not just system and balance improvements but also new content — a new biome was referenced as the basis for the raised level cap (mentioned in NEWS-2). Keen Games has also stated publicly that the price increase funding is intended to allow them to keep developing the game "for as long as possible" beyond 1.0, signalling that the full release is not the end of development. The 1.0 launch content has been clearly communicated and is imminent. All content described in pre-1.0 posts is expected to ship with the October 15 update.
