Oh...Sir! The Hollywood Roast

Oh...Sir! The Hollywood Roast launched on May 31, 2017. In the months following launch, Vile Monarch delivered a steady stream of free content updates: a new character (Nosferateen) and arena on June 13, 2017; the Small Screen Stars DLC on August 9, 2017 (the game's only paid DLC, now released); and another new character (Groan) along with a new arena on September 22, 2017. The September 22, 2017 post also noted that the studio had "some more surprises up our sticky sleeves in store," but no further content updates for this game were ever published after that date. The store description still references "free updates with new characters and scenes coming soon," but this language predates the final update and was never fulfilled beyond what shipped in 2017. The most recent official communication related to this game was a July 12, 2024 post from Vile Monarch promoting their new title, The Last Alchemist — a cross-promotion that signals the studio has moved on to other projects rather than returning to develop further content for The Hollywood Roast. All DLC has been released, and no new content or roadmap has been announced. The game appears to have reached the end of its content lifecycle as of September 2017, with the studio having since shipped other titles.
