Oh...Sir!! The Insult Simulator launched on October 25, 2016 and received a burst of post-launch updates through early-to-mid 2017. These included new guest characters (Serious Sam in November 2016, Albert in January 2017, H.P. Lovecraft in March 2017), multiplayer improvements, and a seasonal holiday update. The developer also announced in March 2017 that they were working on a follow-up title, Oh...Sir! The Hollywood Roast, which released on May 31, 2017 — effectively signaling that the studio's focus had shifted to that sequel. The May 2017 bug fix post confirmed that Vile Monarch was "mostly focused on the game's console port and its sequel," and the last substantive update to this game dates to March 2017. The most recent news post tied to this game (July 2024) was simply Vile Monarch promoting their newer title, The Last Alchemist — not an announcement of new content for The Insult Simulator. All DLC and guest character content has shipped. No future content has been announced or teased for this game since 2017, and the developer has moved on to subsequent projects. The game launched as a compact, feature-complete product and received its planned post-launch additions within its first few months. It has been a finished, stable product since at least March 2017.
