Original Journey launched on August 16, 2017 and received a handful of post-launch updates. The most significant was Update 3.0, released on June 23, 2018, which added new challenge levels, enemy varieties, weapons, and gameplay systems. After that update, developer communication for this game effectively ceased — the last post clearly directed at Original Journey was that June 2018 update. (A July 2019 post in the news feed is actually a cross-promotion for a different game, Neverinth, not an Original Journey update.) There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, and no roadmap. The developer has not posted any Original Journey-specific update since June 23, 2018, which is now over seven years ago. The game launched as a self-contained action-adventure title and shows every indication of having been completed with Update 3.0 as its final major release.
