Evaluation

Pixel Dungeon launched on Steam on May 29, 2015. Following launch, the developer shipped a series of updates through the end of 2015: a first patch with controller support on June 24, 2015; a bug fix on July 3, 2015; update 1.9.1 on September 4, 2015 with new quests, mechanics, and items; and finally version 1.9.2 on December 23, 2015 with additional gameplay improvements. The December 23, 2015 post is the last recorded developer communication — there have been no news posts, patches, or announcements since that date. The game has no DLC listed, no unreleased content, and no developer statements indicating future updates are planned. The store description presents the game as a complete roguelike experience with a fixed set of features and content. Given the complete absence of any developer activity since December 2015, the game appears to have concluded its post-launch update cycle with the 1.9.2 release.
