Evaluation

On February 14, 2024, Cobble Games published an explicit statement announcing that Plane Mechanic Simulator had left Early Access and reached its final form. In that post, the developer was candid about their reasoning: interest in the game did not justify continued development investment, and they made a deliberate decision to call this the finished product. They stated: "we decided that this is as far as we can take Plane Mechanic Simulator" and "we hope you can continue enjoying Plane Mechanic Simulator" — language that clearly signals no further content updates are planned. During its Early Access period, the game received meaningful updates including the Blenheim Update (July 21, 2020), which added the Bristol Blenheim aircraft and 20 missions, and the Wellington Update (October 22, 2020), which added the Vickers Wellington aircraft, a new UI, controller support, and over 1,000 bug fixes. However, the developer's own February 2024 statement makes clear that development concluded upon leaving Early Access. The store description still contains the phrase "and more to come!" in the aircraft list, but this is legacy copy that predates the developer's closure statement and should not be interpreted as a current commitment — the developer's explicit February 2024 post supersedes it.
Evidence
Developer explicitly stated the game has left Early Access and that 'this is as far as we can take Plane Mechanic Simulator,' citing insufficient player interest to justify further development. No future content is planned.

  • Bristol Blenheim
  • And more to come!
