Putrefaction launched into Early Access on June 11, 2015 and graduated to its full 1.0 release on August 7, 2015. In the weeks immediately following launch, the developer shipped several patches addressing difficulty, bugs, and performance. After August 21, 2015, all developer communications shifted focus away from Putrefaction itself — first toward announcing the sequel Putrefaction 2: Void Walker (November 2016), then a standalone content pack for that sequel (September 2017), and finally an entirely new project, Galaxy Squad, announced in August 2018. No updates, patches, or announcements for the original Putrefaction have been posted since August 21, 2015. The game launched as a complete, self-contained package with no DLC listed and no post-launch content commitments made after 1.0 shipped. The developer's attention has long since moved on to other projects.

Putrefaction is a First Person Shooter with horror elements, lots of enemies and weapons. The game heavily inspired by old-school shooters from 3D Realms and id Software.

Story
In the near feature the new disease started to infect people. The infected experienced horrifying body transformations, making them unable to even walk or talk normally. In response to this threat a special elite force was created, with the task of finding a source of this horrible epidemic and eliminating it. You are playing as a member of this organization, send to check an abandoned base in mountains. From there you must find an underground facility and uncover horrible truth about what's really happening.Are these done yet?
