Rogue: Genesia launched on March 7, 2025. Its major content update since then is Update 1.1.0, Worlds Ascension, released March 13, 2026, which added new difficulty modes, a new world tier, zone modifiers, new soul cards and a new shop type. Smaller patches followed in late March 2026. The only other add-ons are two cosmetic pet packs, both released in 2023. In a developer post dated October 9, 2026, the developer said the game had already reached the end of its planned development, that the original plan was only minor updates and bug fixes, and that the game is 'not (totally) dead'. The developer is now weighing a choice: either accept AI-generated code to add co-op multiplayer, large performance gains and modding tools in a substantial further update, or limit future work to a small bug-fix patch. No decision has been announced, and the developer has asked the community to discuss it before going further. The developer's current focus is a separate new game. Whether this game receives a substantial update therefore remains unresolved.
