Roller Champions launched on Steam on December 13, 2022 as a free-to-play competitive sports game. It initially showed signs of active seasonal development: the Neo Retro season launched at release with new maps and modes, a mid-season patch shipped on February 6, 2023 with gameplay and system improvements, and the Wild Ones season (Season 4) launched on April 3, 2023 with a major progression system overhaul. Season 4 cosmetic bundles were also listed and released on April 4, 2023.
However, since April 3–4, 2023, Ubisoft has posted no further updates, patches, announcements, or communications of any kind for this game. For a free-to-play title built around seasonal content and recurring player engagement, this is a significant break in pattern. The game was releasing seasonal content roughly every 6–8 weeks, and more than three years have now passed since the last activity.
Ubisoft has not issued a shutdown notice, a "final season" announcement, or any statement about the game's future. The game remains purchasable (free-to-play) on Steam, but the complete absence of developer communication since April 2023 means it is not possible to confirm whether the game is still actively supported or effectively abandoned. The servers may or may not still be running — the developer simply hasn't said anything either way.

Go for more points by completing additional laps before attempting a goal. After each match, gain fans to compete in bigger arenas. Customize characters and create a unique destiny.

- Progress through the Roller Pass to gain season-exclusive items, spectacular goal FX and emotes, lootballs and in-game currency (wheels).
