Rolling Bird

Rolling Bird is a free-to-play retro arcade shooter that launched on December 28, 2018. After release, the developer shipped several feature patches through late 2019, adding Steam Achievements (December 30, 2018), gameplay improvements and controller support (January 1, 2019), a warp zone system and difficulty scaling (May 27, 2019), and an improved online leaderboard (November 4, 2019). The most recent developer communication of any kind was a publisher anniversary sale post on March 28, 2020 — a general promotional post, not a content update. There have been no developer communications since March 28, 2020, no unreleased DLC, no announced future content, and no roadmap. The game's store description presents it as a complete product with a defined feature set. The only purchasable item beyond the free game is a "Donationware" DLC at $0.99, which the developer explicitly stated provides no additional content — it's a voluntary tip jar. The post-launch patch activity tapered off naturally by November 2019, and the game appears to have launched and been completed as a compact, finished arcade experience.
