Saint Kotar: The Yellow Mask

Saint Kotar: The Yellow Mask is a self-contained prologue to the full game Saint Kotar. It released on June 17, 2020, with its only DLC — the Supporter Pack — following on June 20, 2020. No additional content has ever been announced or released for the prologue itself. The most significant recent development is a September 11, 2026 announcement that, effective September 18, 2026 (today), the game is permanently transitioning to free-to-play. The developer explains this clearly: the revenue it generated was important during the critical period after Saint Kotar's full launch in October 2021, but "that period is behind us" and the price now only prevents people from playing. The post also closes out the Kickstarter Special Edition bundle, which had included this title. In that same post, the developer reflects on the game's history and closes with a note that they are "hoping that one day we may return to it with a sequel or prequel" — a wistful, aspirational remark, not an announcement of planned content. No roadmap, DLC, or specific future work for The Yellow Mask was described. The studio, formerly Red Martyr Entertainment and now The-Mark Entertainment since March 2025, has moved on to new projects. Their cozy sandbox game Log Away launched in December 2025. The Yellow Mask remains a finished, self-contained prologue — now simply available for free rather than for a small price.
