Savage Lands

Savage Lands has a long development history that began in Early Access and officially launched on December 16, 2021. The developer, Last Bastion Studios, has shipped eight major content updates across the game's lifetime, with the most recent — Game Update 007 (Build 007) — releasing on September 22, 2022. That update added a new boss to Snowmere, a fast travel portal, Windows 11 support, bug fixes, and balance improvements. Since September 22, 2022, there have been no further developer communications of any kind. The game's historical update cadence showed major content releases roughly every few months to a year, but more than three and a half years have passed since the last post — well beyond any reasonable continuation of that pattern. There is no unshipped DLC listed on the store, no roadmap or announced future content, and no developer statement about ongoing development after September 2022. The March 2021 development status post (NEWS-3) mentioned exciting changes were "in store," but those appear to have been fulfilled by the subsequent updates leading up to and including the 1.0 launch and Build 007. No post-007 statement reaffirms any further planned content. The store description describes the game's features as delivered, with no mention of upcoming content or live-service elements. All signs point to the game having reached its final state with the September 2022 update.
