Series Makers Tycoon launched on February 22, 2019 and has received a small number of updates since then. Shortly after launch, the developer (Simon) posted a roadmap of ideas including a custom TV channel feature, film spin-offs, and system expansions — but explicitly framed these as informal hobby-project aspirations with no timeline commitment. Over the following years, the developer communicated sporadically due to personal circumstances (new jobs, moves, family issues), acknowledging the game is a passion project maintained alongside a regular career. An April 2021 update noted balancing work and a planned Chinese language addition. A May 2022 post delivered on those balancing updates and announced a Chinese localization in progress — this is the most recent developer communication on record. Since May 13, 2022, there have been no further posts, patches, or announcements from the developer. The game has been silent for over four years as of June 2026. The original post-launch content ideas were never formally committed to, and the developer's own framing ("hobby project," "if I have enough time and money") made clear these were aspirational rather than promised. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store, and no roadmap with firm commitments exists.
